Donations

Monetary Donations   The Twelve Step Recovery Club gratefully accepts all monetary donations.  As a 501(c)(3) organization for charitable and educational purposes, all monetary donations are completely tax deductible for the donor.    A receipt for tax purposes will be provided for all donations.  Proof of The Twelve Step Clubs tax registration will be provided upon request. Donations may be sent to our mailing address on the “Contact Us” page of this site or delivered in person.  Please make sure that contact information is included with the donation so that a receipt can be forwarded without delay. The Twelve Step Club works to provide facilities for alcohol and drug recovery 12 step groups at an affordable cost.  We also provide a safe refuge for recovering persons where they will not be tempted to return to their addictions.  Income from rent to groups meeting at the club, fund raisers and coffee counter sales do not cover our operating expenses.  We do not receive any grants or contributions from tax supported governmental agencies.  Generous donations from individuals like you keep The Twelve Step Club open as a community service for the people of Northern Medina and Southwestern Cuyahoga counties. Memorial contributions in the name of a friend or loved one that has passed is also greatly appreciated. 

Donations of Goods and Services   The Twelve Step Recovery Club often has the need for general supplies, maintenance supplies, paint, furniture and goods necessary to run any small business.  Although we do almost all of our maintenance and repairs with our volunteer labor, we do occasionally have the need for professionals.  If you care to donate any type of goods or services, please contact one of our trustees to make arrangements.  All donations are tax deductible for the donor and an appropriate receipt will be provided.  Proof of tax status will be provided upon request.  

Donations of Household Goods and Surplus Items   If you have surplus household goods of any type including appliances, furniture, kitchen utensils and other items that you think the The Twelve Step Recovery Club could have a purpose for, please ask one of our trustees if the Club could put it to use.  We do accept some donations of gently used household items but, too often the Club receives donations of items that we cannot use and the cost for disposal is very high for the Club.  We greatly appreciate all donations of items that have a use.
